There are 5 Youth Hostels across Madeira's Archipelago:

• Centro de Juventude da Calheta
• Centro de Juventude do Porto Moniz
• Centro de Juventude do Porto Santo
• Centro de Juventude de Santana (NEW)

The Youth Centres/Hostels were created to promote youth exchange and mobility, and therefore, located in an area of historical and cultural interest where one can practise sport and leisure activities.

Youth Centres/Hostels are  meeting places for people from different surroundings and cultural backgrounds without distinction of age, race, nationality, belief or ideology, all with their own particular ways of behaving, doing things and organising their day. That is why all youth hostels have house rules which are intended to help in providing the right framework for a comfortable stay. So please remember that these rules are set out here are for the benefit of all our guests.

These Youth Centres/Hostels wishes an enjoyable experience for all its visitors.

General Information

THE PRICES INCLUDE: 

• Bed sheets. Guests are fully responsible for their use.
• Towels are only available in rooms with private WC (clean bath towels are provided every 3 day - private rooms, only).
• During cleaning time (11am – 4 pm), access to rooms is conditioned.
• It is forbidden to eat in the rooms, as well as to smoke or drink alcoholic beverages inside the premises of the Youth Hostel.
• People visiting the guests are only allowed in the leisure area.
• Animals are not permitted in the Youth Centres.
• Guests are individually responsible for any damage caused and will assume the consequences.

The Regional Youth Board (Direcção Regional de Juventude) will not be responsible for any patrimonial damage caused by guests in all of Madeira’s Youth Centre’s facilities.

TIME-TABLE:

• Check-in – after 2 pm
• Check-out – till 12 pm
• Silence – 12.30 am – 7 am

For acquiring lodging services and rental of multimedia rooms, we advise that you make your reservation in advance, by making the total payment on the deadlines bellow:

The confirmation of the reservation is made through your payment in the following deadlines:

• Low Season – until 10 days before arrival date;
• High Season – until 30 days before arrival date.

Cancellation policy:

If you cancel up to 5 days before arrival, you will receive a 100% refund of the reservation.

If you cancel less than 5 days before arrival, you are not entitled to any amount of refund.
